We Have Put Our Stake in the Ground!
“As the Ancaster Agricultural Society (AAS) is quickly finding out, if you build it, they will come”, says the Ancaster News, after attending our official ground-breaking ceremony on October 6.
President Jill Ferguson, along with Paul Gibbons and Andrew Yeudall, were so pleased with the turnout at the event.
“Those in attendance got the first peek inside the 75,000 square foot building and were incredibly impressed with the space and the way in which it connects and flows to our existing buildings”, said President Jill Ferguson.
Councillor Lloyd Ferguson brought official greetings from Mayor Eisenberger and commented that they both agreed that “This building will be a game changer and be the premier facility that will welcome both national and international shows and put the Ancaster Agricultural Society on the map!”

The new facility is really taking shape.
The roof is installed.
Interior work has begun including masonry, electrical, and sprinkler pipes.
A 50,000L water holding tank for drain wastewater was floated in on two trailers and installed using a large crane.
“Everything about this facility is set up for success”, says Paul Gibbons, Capital Campaign committee member and 2nd Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
Dedicated to providing the best facility, the AAS will continue to champion the advancement of all agricultural activities and knows that this new building will put Ancaster on the map!
