Get Involved! Come Volunteer with us!
The Ancaster Agricultural Society relies largely on volunteers to carry out their programs and events. We are always looking for more volunteers! Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, and meet new people. We offer a large variety of volunteer tasks throughout the year. You don’t have to be a member to volunteer, but as the saying goes, membership does have its privileges so be sure to check out the membership link.
Students needing volunteer hours
We have many student volunteer opportunities at the Ancaster Fair in September. (for example, parking duty, assisting in our hospitality suite, manning a waste management booth, help with various equestrian and livestock shows, grounds clean up, assisting with kids crafts, assisting with “fair fun” and entertainment stages, set up and take down in Marritt Hall, etc. Other opportunities include help with Summer Camp (July), Education Days (April), garage sale set up and take down (March & November), horse stall clean out in the summer months, gardening, office help, etc.
Do you enjoy Gardening?
We are looking for someone to look after our flowerbeds in front of Marritt Hall for the season. This job includes weeding, planting annuals, mulching, trimming, etc. If you have a green thumb and some time, this job is for you!
As we prepare for the Fair, we often need help in the office, getting mailings out, stuffing envelopes, updating lists, sorting ribbons, etc.
Contact Martina Arth firstname.lastname@example.org to become part of our volunteer team.
The Ancaster Agricultural Society is non-partisan.
Our Fairgrounds are busy year round. The hard work of our volunteers is what allows the A.A.S to be as successful as we are. We couldn’t do it without you!
Check back often for scheduled work bee’s that arise throughout the year!
