Contribute to the work of the Ancaster Agricultural Society.
As a registered, not-for-profit charitable organization, the Ancaster Agricultural Society (AAS) has had deep roots in the Ancaster community since it was founded in 1850.
Although we are widely recognized for the Ancaster Fair, many people do not realize that the Fairgrounds host events year round. Our facilities are used by many community members, businesses, livestock organizations, festivals, and commodity groups for a wide variety of events.
Each year, the Ancaster Fair welcomes 45,000+ visitors of all ages and from all walks of life.
At the Ancaster Fair you will find agricultural demonstrations, educational displays, horse and livestock shows, field crop, fruit & vegetable competitions, homecrafts, antiques, horticulture, photography and more.
There is entertainment for the whole family including music, talent shows, pie eating contests, baby show, church service and, of course, the demolition derby.
We also offer four weeks of Ancaster Fair Summer Camp, as well as two Agricultural Education Days for grade three and four students with over 700 students attending each spring.
Our livestock, tradeshow, and event facilities host over 650,000 visitors annually.
Our newest 75,000 square foot building opened in 2022 to meet the increasing demand for such a facility in our community.
It takes 35 committees with approximately 400 volunteers (many second and third generation) working throughout the year to make it all happen.
