Summer Camp

Every year, the Ancaster Agricultural Society Summer Day Camp provides a place for children to learn, play, and develop agricultural and environmental awareness.

HOW TO REGISTER

2025 Dates - 4 weeks: July 7 - 11, July 14-18, July21-25, July 28 -August 1

Drop off: 8:30am – 9 am, Pick up: 4:00pm – 4:30pm, extended care is available for an extra cost.

Cost: $285 per week. Please see the Parent Handbook for more details.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Ancaster Agricultural Society Summer Day Camp is a great place for kids ages 4-12, to make new friends, embrace new challenges, and enjoy experiences that build confidence and curiosity. 

Each year our camp programming is designed to expose children to new activities and help them:

Camp is where kids discover the best of who they are. 

Our campers will have hands-on fun while playing and learning about farm animals and our environment, make cool arts and crafts projects they can enter in the Ancaster Fair, play games and sports, learn to bake, experience a low ropes program, and much more.

Activities include:

Adventureworks low ropes course

Art projects – drawing, colouring, painting, tie dye creations

Crafts – hand-sewn creatures, bracelet making, bird house, picture frame, rock art

Baking – muffins, cookies, granola bars, rice krispies creations

Field games

Hiking

Obstacle course

Bird watching

Bug hunting

Large group games

Small group games

Orienteering

Songs and team cheers

Sports – soccer, ball hockey, basketball, beach volleyball, badminton

Nature scavenger hunt

Baby animal interactions – hold, touch, learn about different baby farm animals like bunnies, chicks, ducklings, lamb, kids, calf

Seed and/or flower planting

Egg drop team building

Sandbox adventures and sand castle building

Water play – sponge relay, water bottle race, water balloon toss, sprinkler fun

Summer Camp Mission

The Ancaster Agricultural Society Summer Camp promotes a sense of community and agricultural/environmental awareness through hands-on, interactive, creative, and educational programming. 

We instill life skills like respect, creativity, responsibility, cooperation, and leadership in all our campers. 

This is achieved through fun-filled learning, and craft activities, and goal setting for kids from all backgrounds.

Summer Camp Vision

The Ancaster Fair Camp will be recognized as a leader in delivering high-quality, fun, outdoor programming that fosters agricultural and environmental awareness. 

Through hands-on learning and community connections, we will develop future fair exhibitors and volunteers while teaching arts, crafts, and life skills.

Our Summer Camp relies on volunteers and donors from our community.
